Maltings Academy and New Rickstones Academy in Witham, Essex are graded 'Outstanding' and 'Good' by Ofsted respectively. Both have a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike.
We have two Facilities Assistant positions, one based at Maltings Academy, and one based at New Rickstones Academy; however both roles are required to work across both academies.
You will support our Facilities team in providing a safe, clean and secure environment for academy users. You will respond to reactive faults and events and carry out planned maintenance of the facilities, ensuring that internal and external areas are maintained to a high standard. Your responsibilities will also include site security and key holder responsibility, as well as setting up for academy events and lettings. The successful candidate will have experience of carrying out maintenance tasks, knowledge of Health and Safety and excellent customer service skills.
The hours will initially be Tuesday-Saturday and will be shifts between the hours of 6am and 10pm (an enhancement will be paid for weekend working). Working hours will vary according to academy needs and will include occasional overtime plus emergency call outs on a rota basis. There will be an induction training programme for this post.
