Based in Manchester this is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the largest breakfast cereal manufacturing plants in the world. Opportunities within our flexible operational teams for Training Cover Roles for Process/Packing operators and Material Supply Operators. All commencing in January 2014.

Successful candidates for Training Cover and Material Supply roles will be required to work the 12 hour continuous shift system. The training cover role is a Monday to Friday 8 hour day based position, but will also be required to adopt the 12 hour shift system for short periods as business dictates.

You should have a good standard of general education and have GCSE/O Level or equivalent in Maths and English and be computer literate.
Experience of working within FMCG, preferably within food manufacturing is desirable and preference may be given to candidates with knowledge and/or experience of Quality and Safety procedures including COSHH, HACCP and Food Safety Regulations.
You should have the ability to understand and follow work schedules and have basic appreciation of working with machinery.
Ideally you will have a current Counterbalance FLT Licence or equivalent experience and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, although not essential.


This roles requires someone who is able to work as part of a team, with the minimum of supervision, and be able to react to demanding and changing schedules. You should be proactive and flexible to change within the working environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills are important, along with a focus on attention to detail. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate initiative and have basic problem solving abilities.
