We are seeking to appoint a dynamic teacher of mathematics to join our high achieving maths team from September 2017. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational teacher to help the Academy build on recent successes and further raise aspirations and outcomes. The Academy was inspected by Ofsted in January 2016 and achieved a 'Good' grading in all areas. Broadlands Academy opened on 1 December 2012 and is sponsored by Academies Enterprise Trust. The Academy has made rapid progress since that point and has celebrated four consecutive years of results above the national average. Broadlands has served the families of Keynsham and South Bristol in the West of England since 1935. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. The candidate will be eligible to be part of the AET Subject Leaders Programme, with the potential to go on to a Head of Department role in the organisation, and will benefit from a range of wonderful opportunities to enrich their teaching and leadership role, including:

Last year results in Mathematics saw an improvement of 11% but there is more work to do to ensure all our students are successful in this key subject area.
