Tesco Media Publishing Centre
The Tesco Media Publishing Centre creates and delivers concepts, photography, copywriting and artwork for all areas of publishing media. Our 2500 sq. ft. in-house studio is fully equipped for large-scale interior room-sets as well as 360-degree imagery, video
and close up photography. Photographers and stylists work alongside designers and the production team to produce high quality images for multiple uses across a variety of media.
Role Overview
To research and develop, where appropriate, new opportunities to enable Media Publishing Centre (MPC) to support the wider business across all channels, with the aim of attracting new stakeholders to MPC and to deliver our ‘Every Little Helps’ and ‘No one tries
harder for customers’ promises and value to Tesco.
Context
This new role has been created to develop the operational excellence of the MPC and to promote MPC to the wider, global, business. Although based in WGC, there will be the requirement to work at MPC in Milton Keynes as well as potentially, CE and internationally,
as and when required, therefore a flexible attitude to working independently and remotely is essential.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Lead & develop MPC as the blueprint for a global solution & centre of excellence
Analyse opportunities to promote MPC and provide solutions to deliver cost savings to the business
Research and investigate opportunities and present back findings on a regular basis to the business
Engage with Internet Retailing, General Merchandise Online and Corporate Purchasing marketing teams
Work with R&D team
Work with external suppliers
Knowledge/Experience
An understanding of multi channel retailing
An understanding of Operations Development, ways of working, documenting and implementing change
Experience of working independently and proposing solutions to problems
5 years experience working in the Tesco environment ideally with an Operations Development or Process driven background.
Skills
Process/ Project Management skills (ideally Six Sigma)
Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Strong communication skills including written and presentational
Attention to detail

Takes decisions based on a quick and accurate grasp of the facts
Tries and sustains new ideas and initiatives with enthusiasm
