This role is:
To run and manage IT projects and enforcing the defined project management standards and methodology. Working within the Tesco Bank General Insurance IT team on project delivery for Tesco Underwriting. Focussing on the delivery of regular releases of IT change for Tesco Underwriting into Tesco Bank.
To do this you will:
- Coordinate and manage all project activity
- Attend project related workshops / teleconferences / meetings
- Manage project resource
- Manage project financials and budget
- Prepare project progress reports for project sponsor, steering group, company and client boards and all other involved parties
Experience required:
- Project management experience
- Experience of full project life cycle and have taken several projects from the initiation phase successfully through to implementation and closure (within a Prince 2 or similar environment)
- Experience in managing teams, both client and internal resources
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodology
- Experience of standard project and programme processes
- Understand and practice the key elements of successful programme management
- Experience of establishing and managing programme offices on complex programmes
- Have presented programme progress reports and other material to Company Boards
- Experience of full technology development life cycle and understanding of technology
- Comfortable working with and managing clients on a daily basis, often at the senior level within organisations
- You will have several years of project delivery work behind you. Financial services experience is desirable though not essential, however, you will be familiar with the language and methods of IT delivery
