About Us

Think you know Tesco? Think again! Jack Cohen founded Tesco in 1919 when he began to sell surplus groceries from a stall in the East End of London. The Tesco brand first appeared in 1924. Since then, we have succeeded in becoming the largest British retailer by both global sales and domestic market share. Following international success and the launch of our telecoms, mobile phone and online businesses, we are now building our own bank. A bank which will change the shape of UK banking and bring service and value to our customers.

If you want to be part of the Tesco journey, see details below for how to apply.
