Through the growth of the existing physical Retail infrastructure and by embarking on a Strategic modernisation of the IT landscape, Tesco Dotcom is investing in their long term Operating Model of Business Capabilities, People and Systems. This includes a series of large scale business transformation programmes to implement new and leading-edge technologies as well as developing compelling customer propositions. The expansion is to drive the on-line business in Food and Non-Foods across all of the Tesco global operations.
To develop this part of Tesco Retail services, Tesco Dotcom wishes to hire the best Enterprise Architecture and Integration Architecture talent in the marketplace. The individuals need to possess flair, motivation and innovation as well as passion for eCommerce and Retail. We are looking for people that have the right balance of strategy and hands on thought leadership with the ability to think outside the box, but can at the same time be pragmatic and simple in their approach. We need leaders who can engage and inspire stakeholders throughout the Business and IT teams, at all levels of the organisation. We are looking for candidates who wish to grow their career and be part of this opportunity in shaping the future systems and Business for Tesco Dotcom.
• Leading the creation and maintenance of the global Application, Information and Technical Enterprise Roadmaps for the responsible Business domain.
• Developing and maintaining the current, future state and intermediate architecture blue prints for the Business domain.
• Publishing and maintaining domain standards, policies, principles and guidelines.
• Provide governance and alignment of development program architecture to the IT strategy.
• Working with key vendors to the domain to influence the direction of their products and services ensuring maximum value for Tesco.
• Working to ensure the domain Roadmaps are achievable and correctly estimated and to drive down the cost of IT.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, such as IT Directors, Programme managers and the Business teams, third parties and other relevant teams within IT and the Business.

Candidate Profile

First the basics, to succeed you must combine a degree level 2.1 qualification or equivalent with a sound approach of technical programming expertise. You’ll need a logical approach to problem solving, and the ability to constructively review solutions proposed by our development teams.
The successful candidates will be knowledgeable in some of the following:
• ERP systems, particularly for Retail.
• eCommerce applications & transactional website technologies and best practice.
• Key Integration concepts eg Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Operational Data Stores (ODS), Extraction Transformation and Load (ETL).
• Oracle Fusion middleware.
• Service Orientated Architecture and Web Services.
• Business Process Execution Language (BPEL).
• Modelling business processes within the Information/Integration Layer.
