Senior Security Consultant

Our Senior Security Consultant will be a key part of Rule Financials continued drive into the Financial Services Security space.  Helping to define the direction of our Security practice while focusing on building industry leading services leveraging the latest security technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis & design of highly secure hardware and software solutions for our clients. The Senior Security Consultant will need to be able to ensure that security, privacy and compliance concerns within both internal and external initiatives are properly addressed.  This will involve regularly working with leading security vendors and partners to meet project sponsors and stakeholders to perform security risk assessments to address security risks and compliance.  The aim of the assessment is to document findings, track security deficiencies, and manage the implementation/remediation to ensure risks are successfully mitigated.

You must demonstrate hands on experience in conducting security risk assessments and managing the identified risks through to mitigation. The successful candidate will have excellent communications skills and must have a good understanding of IT Security and related technologies including authentication, authorization, logging, event and incident management, digital forensics. Excellent project management and time management skills are required and candidates must have a security mindset and be able to ask appropriate questions to understand potential security concerns, seek proof of the existence of controls, and identify whether these have been implemented and are fit for purpose.

Desired Skills & Experience

Be able to perform; Risk Assessments, Compliance Assessments, Gap Analysis, Remediation, Threat & Vulnerability Assessments
Have implemented Security programs and Compliance Management programs for enterprise customers
Have security and information risk management consulting experience
Have a thorough understanding of Security Policy standards
Understanding of compliance requirements such as EU Data Protection Directive, MA 201 CMR 17, PCI DSS requirements, information security best practices and ISO27001
Ability to consult on Data Loss Prevention strategies
Ability to clearly explain reasoning and to create, edit & customise high-quality documentation
Have experience engaging and establishing credibility with high-level executives
Understand how to frame information security needs in business terms
Candidates should be able to readily adapt to varied client environments
Ability to work in a methodical manner to gather, document, and analyse specific customer requirements
Experience in documentation to clearly articulate Executive Level, Program Level, and Operational Level, information risk management frameworks, standards, processes
Ability to convey diplomacy and tact- present a credible image to customers, building the necessary relationships at all levelsSelf-directed to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
Strong Project Management skills
Quality management of engagement delivery
Experience preparing and delivering RFI/RFP responses
Excellent Problems solving skills
Certifications desired: CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, ITIL
