Job Description

As Rule Financial continues to build its capability in the security space with Financial Services clients, we are looking for outstanding candidates who will help drive growth in our Security practice, build leading edge services utilising the latest security technologies, and contribute to the delivery of secure hardware/software solutions for our clients.

Candidates must be able to resolve internal and external security, privacy and compliance issues for our clients, work with leading security vendors and partners, and manage project sponsors and stakeholders as we perform security risk assessments to address critical security and compliance risks.

Summary of tasks

• Provide support on client security implementation projects:
• Conduct security event analysis to support the production of reports and statistics.
• Support Security investigations, including evidence gathering and IT forensics analysis.
• Security Vulnerability Assessments
• Support the implementation of procedural, operational and technical enhancements.
• Actively monitor and respond to security events

Desired Skills & Experience

• Advanced PL/SQL & T-SQL
• BI & forensic database skills (using advanced queries and filters)
• MS-SQL & Oracle RDBMS skills
• Generation of SQL reports (automated and manual)
• Good communication & reporting skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Data Protection Act
• Strong Windows skills
• Understanding of best practice security controls for standard desktop technologies (MS Windows, Anti-x, Firewall etc).
• Previous experience gained in an information security role.
• Information Security knowledge
