Global One is a front/middle and back office securities borrowing and lending system and Rule Financial provide “managed services" to top investment banking clients. The teams are
responsible for the daily support work and Global One development work for our clients.
We are currently searching for someone to take on the role of Application Support Analyst to work on our managed service. The successful candidate will have come from an application support background within financial services. Some perl development experience is ideal but you will have the professionalism and drive to work for an ever expanding investment banking consultancy. This is a great team to join and you will receive solid encouragement and work in a dynamic team atmosphere.
Your role will entail:
We are currently searching for someone to take on the role of Application Support Analyst to work on our managed service. The successful candidate will have come from an application support background within financial services. Some perl development experience is ideal but you will have the professionalism and drive to work for an ever expanding investment banking consultancy. This is a great team to join and you will receive solid encouragement and work in a dynamic team atmosphere.
Your role will entail:
- Analysing support problems and resolving
- Able to follow best practices and deliver using an end to end quality approach
- Write technical specifications for small projects
- Estimate accurately timeline for delivery of small development projects
- Dealing with multiple support issues at once and manage expectation levels of client on support resolutions
- Manage UAT and regression testing process
Required Skills
- Strong client facing and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task across several concurrent projects
- High quality support background with varied technical skills
- ITIL v3 foundation would be advantageous
- Global 1 Support or development experience desirable
- Knowledge of banking and finance sector desirable
Required technologies
The candidate must have experience in Unix/Solaris but we are also ideally looking for one or more of the following:
- MQ, Autosys, SQL, Ctrl-M, Korn Shell & Scripting, Java
