Description

  The Software QA Engineer will be working as part of the QA team testing the latest release of a core scanning and decomposition technology component incorporated into multiple products including McAfee's Messaging and Web Security Gateway Appliances. This work shall include new functionality testing as well as test automation. Duties include:  

• Analysis of software requirements and assessment of testing requirements
• Planning, implementing and executing tests, including construction of environments and automation
• Identifying and tracking and verifying defects reported by all parties; validating fixes
• Working closely with all teams, to reproduce, isolate and eliminate problems
• Participating in ongoing product specification and reviews

Experience

• Detailed knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems
• Development experience e.g. C++, javascript, Perl
• Extensive QA/Software testing experience over the full product lifecycle
• Test automation
• Agile Development methodology
• Preferred: ISTQB certification, Test tools - in particular Quality Center, Bugzilla, Quick Test Pro, Knowledge of Mail and Web systems with associated protocols
