McAfee is seeking a talented Software Developer - C++ individual to join it's software engineering team in Aylesbury. The team is responsible for the ongoing development of McAfee leading edge Gateway security product which is used throughout the world. The opportunity is to join this team working on a variety of exciting software development projects.

The Software Developer - C++ will primarily involve backend C++ development on Linux and cross platform Windows/Linux systems working on new feature development, from requirements through to release.

Experience

Versatile and creative engineer with experience of both Linux and Windows development
Excellent C++ knowledge with recent commercial development experience.
Experience writing multi-threaded and high performance code.
Development experience within a defined software development process.
Preferred: Knowledge/use of source control systems and defect tracking systems. Experience with PERL and other scripting. Some Java experience. Knowledge of Mail systems and associated protocols. Cross-platform development. Experience of a wide range of network products: Mail servers, clients, proxies and firewalls.
