Consumer Partner Custom engineering team helps develop business solutions and applications for McAfee's partners.

We are involved in managing partnerships with some of the big players in the ISP, OEM, Telecom providers and mobile services industry. This engineering team has strong focus to implement requirements centric to meeting our partner needs.

The requirement roadmap is largely driven by the partner. The road-map will focus on integrating our existing products with the partner's customer-base. It will also focus on next generation solutions to increase the customer-base and make existing customers sticky to our products.

This position offers a good blend of technical knowledge through innovative solutions to address business needs. It also offers a unique insight into business and has almost a direct impact on quarterly revenues and business targets. The position is very challenging as a lot of times, you would be in a mission critical situation to build or save a partnership and as a result millions of dollars for the organization.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with strong experience in object-oriented design and development. The Senior Software Development Engineer is expected to be extremely proficient in writing C++ code and trouble-shooting problems on the windows platform. He is also expected to have knowledge of Mobile platforms such as Android or Blackberry. In addition exposure to the Linux operating system would be an added advantage. Duties include:

Primary job responsibility would be design and development of applications on the Windows platform. The right candidate is expected to be extremely proficient in application development using C++ and object-oriented analysis and design.
The right candidate is expected to analyze requirements and business proposals in collaboration with the technical lead. He should be able to write clear and accurate functional and technical specifications in response to the business requirements.
Must be a fast learner and learn internal knowledge about McAfee consumer products and systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Also perform design and code reviews within the team.
Must have a good understanding of software development and release processes. .
Will work in projects driven by the agile paradigm.
Maybe required to step up to work in alternative technologies like Mobile or Linux.

Experience

Excellent level of experience in software design and development.
Strong knowledge of C++ development in a Windows environment , and Win32 SDK , with good experience in multithreading and IPC concepts
Exposure to COM is a must.
Expertise in object-oriented design is a must.
Experience working in complex multi-threaded applications
Experience in html development and scripting technologies like java-script.
Experience in server-side development using ASP or .Net or something similar is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently. He should have good collaboration, communication skills and flexibility to work with a global team across time-zones.
Experience working in at least one user-interface based project is desirable.
Understanding of at-least one Mobile platform, Android/Blackberry/IOS etc. is desirable.
Exposure to programming in a Linux environment would be an added advantage.
Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent. We can consider other qualifications, if supported by good experience in the field.
