McAfee offers in-depth protection-from the network core, to perimeter defence to complete desktop security-through two families of products.   The person that takes this role will be working within McAfee Labs to deliver a range of Anti-Malware products, tools and content. This is a unique opportunity to influence and contribute to a critical part of the business that protects our customers. Duties include:

• Responsible for all aspects of white-box and system level testing.
• Creates and documents test plans and test cases for non-GUI interfaces.
• Creates and executes automated test suites/cases.
• Will be testing on both Windows and Non-windows platforms.

Experience

• Extensive QA/Software testing experience over the full product lifecycle
• Proven experience in Automation in any scripting language (preferably Perl)
• Strong experience in testing applications on Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, and server, (preferably from security domain).
• Experience of using UNIX operating systems (at least one of: Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, FreeBSD)
• Good understanding and working knowledge of SDLC, STLC, test methodologies- Waterfall, V Model, Agile.  
• Strong Analytical skills. Candidate should demonstrate the same in testing exercises.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external parties including QA, Support, Development Engineers and Customers
• Experience of IP-based networking technologies, including HTTP, DNS, and TLS.
• Experience with test automation
• Experience of Python/C/C++ programming
• Knowledge of embedded systems an advantage.
• Test certifications such as CSTE/CSQA certification preferred as long as the candidate is able to demonstrate the skills that these certifications promise.
• Product integration testing experience
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking
• API Level testing
• Knowledge in non-functional areas of testing especially performance, security
• Prior experience of working in Agile teams will be an added advantage
