Description

McAfee is seeking a talented individual to join its software engineering team in Aylesbury. The team is responsible for the ongoing development of McAfee leading edge Gateway security product which is used throughout the world. The opportunity is to join this team working on a variety of exciting software development projects.   The role will primarily involve backend C++ development on Linux and Windows working on new feature development, from requirements through to release.

Experience

Required:        

• Versatile and creative engineer with experience of Linux and Windows environments
• Strong software skills with the commitment to create high quality code
• Excellent knowledge of C++
• Experience writing multi-threaded code 

Desirable:        

• Experience with Java
• Experience with PERL and/or other scripting languages
• Development experience within a defined software development process
• Knowledge/use of source control systems and defect tracking systems.
• Knowledge of networking and security products: Mail servers, clients, proxies and firewalls, etc
