McAfee Consumer business accounts for 40% of the total revenues for McAfee. Consumer application engineering develops security solutions targeted at securing a home PC and network.
"Partner Custom" team will focus on creating security solutions targeted for McAfee's OEM and ISP partners.
We are looking for passionate Associate Software Developer - C++ engineers with exposure to object-oriented design and development. Candidate is expected to be hands-on in writing C++ code and trouble-shooting problems on Windows. Duties include:
- Collaborate with the Development Manager to create detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Responsible for the design and development of applications on Windows 32bit and 64bit platforms .
- Perform the design and code reviews within the team.
- Unit testing.
- Program and debug complex engineering problems
Experience
- Good knowledge of C++ and Standard Template Library (STL).
- Proficiency in COM and Win32 API desirable.
- Experience in multithreading and IPC concepts.
- Experience on Jscript is expected and exposure to UI development using HTML, Jscript and CSS is an added plus.
- Good knowledge of Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of networking concepts - TCP/IP and Socket programming.
- Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Familiarity with development analysis tools like Coverity , Boundschecker is desirable.
- Experience on other scripting languages such as vbscript, .net, asp is desirable.
- Experience in browser plugin development and XPCOM is an added plus.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent. We can consider other qualifications, if supported by good experience in the field.
