The area: Partnerships
There's always more information out there, and our Partnerships team works to get it. We develop relationships with a range of organizations, from content providers to publishers, and find ways for them to reach their audiences and manage their digital businesses. We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we're in pursuit of gathering the world's information.
The role: Channel Marketing Manager, Channel Sales
Your role will be instrumental in growing revenue from existing and new partners by developing and executing joint marketing plans with our top partners in the EMEA region to support our channel revenue goals. This role will allow you to use your creative skills to develop new, out of the box solutions while also utilising your analytical skills to measure the ROI of marketing and other channel activities. This role requires excellent cross-functional leadership and communications skills.
The Channel Sales team focuses on building and managing long-term relationships with our Premier SMB Partners in EMEA. We are focused on empowering the millions of local, small-and medium-sized businesses with Google’s advertising solutions - with the goal of driving revenue for our customers, our partners and Google. Members of this team gain broad exposure to many Google products and people as we're identifying and implementing solutions that best suit the unique needs of our partners and SMB customers.
Responsibilities:
- Own the development and joint execution of comprehensive marketing plans with partners in the EMEA region. Be accountable for driving joint marketing plans and local partner events from development to implementation
- Review and approve all brand related questions on marketing assets, materials, and messaging for regional campaigns. Track and report on partners’ ROI of joint marketing programs and sales contest initiatives
- Partner closely with business development teams to develop and execute partner prospective and industry events in region
- Develop regional PR/Communications Plans. Manage and build program brand, including core positioning statements and proof points. Increase
- awareness of the program and help generate demand for Google advertising solutions
- Develop sales incentive programs, program collateral, case studies, and research programs
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing a channel program, building a brand, and developing sales generating activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Extensive channel marketing or program management experience at a technology or media company
- Proven ability to lead, balance, and self manage multiple simultaneous projects in an entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated performance in prior roles with outstanding execution, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and creativity. Strong track record of building strong working relationships & executing across all functions and levels of an organization
- Must be analytical and data driven. Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Multiple EU languages
