The Transportation Technologies team is seeking a talented and motivated Build and Deployment Engineer to join our Deployment and Operational Engineering team supporting the supply side of Expedia's E-commerce site. The team you will be joining is responsible for shaping and developing the processes and technologies used to compile and deliver our builds, manage and deploy to our lab, and for the automation and reporting used to deliver our products to the production deployments. This is all accomplished with close collaboration with the Transportation Technologies development organization.

Responsibilities for the Build and Deployment Engineer

Quickly come up to speed on current lab and build infrastructure
Maintain advanced technical knowledge in current and technologies in the Microsoft stack
Assist in the evolution of our start-up TFS build, lab environments as we onboard new teams into TFS
Further integrate automation tools into the environment
Serve as a development process expert with full understanding of the architecture of our lab and production environments
Assist in creating and troubleshooting builds, build branching requests, configuration management and deployment of various software applications
Maintain existing lab/build infrastructure based on CC.NET, and PerForce until migration to TFS is complete
Assist and guide proper Source Code Branching and Merging strategies
Design and develop Reports and Dashboards from the Warehouse Data
Develop and maintains positive working relationships with team members and other stakeholders, including business partners and all levels of IT leadership

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven development/administrative expertise in a large IT organization
Specific knowledge of TFS and PerForce/Source Depot source control systems
Experience with MS SQL Server administration and queries
Proven experience in Microsoft development technologies
Experience as a build/release engineer, software development engineer, software development engineer in test, or software test engineer
Proven experience with Scripting languages should include batch, PowerShell, PERL, and VB.
Working knowledge of TFS build and lab management systems
Outstanding written and verbal communication skill, including the ability to run meetings and present information to a large, diverse audience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Ability and desire to take ownership of work assignments and drive tasks to completion
Solid fundamental computer science skills
Acute attention to detail
